Anna Dixon MP Water Survey

1) In 2024, Yorkshire Water allowed raw sewage to be dumped into the rivers of the Shipley constituency 1407 times. Do you think this is acceptable?
2) In 2025-2026, Yorkshire Water's average water bill is expected to increase by £135, or 29%. Do you think Yorkshire Water is delivering good value for money for customers?
3) This year, Yorkshire Water’s CEO, Nicola Shaw, received a salary of over £1m, including a bonus of £371,000. Do you support banning the payment of bonuses to water bosses if they fail to meet high standards to protect the environment?
4) Do you support giving the Environment Agency enhanced powers to bring criminal charges against water bosses who break the law, including imprisonment of executives when companies fail to cooperate or obstruct investigations?
5) Do you support introducing automatic and severe penalties for water company wrongdoing, allowing regulators to issue penalties more quickly without redirecting resources to lengthy investigations?
6) The new Labour government recently signed into law the Water (Special Measures) Act 2025, the most significant increase to enforcement powers in the water industry in a decade. Do you support stronger regulation of the water industry?
