Shipley MP Anna Dixon today showed her support for British farmers at a Parliamentary reception.
The event was held in commemoration of Back British Farming Day, on September 11th.
The day is a chance to thank and champion the farmers who work hard to keep the nation fed, care for our natural environment, take action on climate issues and deliver jobs for their communities.
Ms Dixon demonstrated her gratitude to British farmers by attending today's event with the British Farming Union.
Dixon said: “I am proud to back British Farming.
“It is crucial that the new government champions all British farmers and growers.
“Agriculture plays a vital part in the economy in West Yorkshire, and it is important that we can connect people in our towns and cities with where their food comes from.
“Thank you to everyone who is involved with and works in the farming sector.”
Farming income in Yorkshire and the Humber amounted to £662million in 2022, contributing substantially to the region's local economy.
